Coach Camilia "Mimi" Jones Click to Enlarge Photo
Coach MiMi has been involved in basketball for several years. Her career started in 1996 at Henderson Jr. High were she was a starter and one of the most productive players for her team. She later went to Parkview High School where, as a sophomore, she started and made great contributions to the team. She helped her team compete at high levels and win several games in various tournaments. Coach Mimi received a great deal of recognition and also many awards while at Parkview, including Most valuable Player (MVP), All-City, and All-State. Upon Graduating from Parkview High, Coach Mimi received a full athletic scholarship for Track and Field to the University of Mississippi. During her four seasons at Ole Miss, she competed in all of the consecutive SEC Indoor/ Outdoor Championships. She also is in the record books at Ole Miss for her accomplishments in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and many relays. After graduating from Ole Miss, Coach Mimi took an interest in helping young girls who were serious about enhancing their skills in both basketball and track. Consequently, she joined the Arkansas Lady Sparks coaching staff in 2005. She enjoys coaching this talented team and serves not only as a coach, but as a mentor and role model as well.
